Welcome to Policy Debate!

If you are considering joining policy debate please consider the following:
Mr. Adams is the instructor of the policy siminars and lectures. he has coached the team for what will now be 4 years and has attended many forensics camps and tournaments that qualify him for coaching. All of our returning participatants in the policy debate programs are experienced and enthusiastic learners willing to help you on your policy journey. Policy itself is based around a topic (or resolution) that changes yearly. For example, the 2012-2013 year resolution was as follows-
Resolved: The United States Federal Government should substantially increase its transportation infastructure investment in the United States.
Students then, in groups of two, collarborate a plan as to how this resolution would be carried out. Team memebers must address fiscal and political assets of affirming the resolution (i.e. "Where would we get the money for this?", "How would it affect the political spectra?", "How will this effect wolrdwide trade?" etc.). Once the student has discussed how this plan will be carried out, they will write one cases (a persuasive plan formatted in a specific way) and attend tournaments (or meets with other schools) where the opposing students will try and find flaws in the plan and convince the judge it will not work.
Policy is a team debate. Meaning all participatents must of a reliable partner. No "partner-switching" will be allowed for the debate year of 2013-2014 unless overseenby a coach or lab leader. If you wish to leave yor partner your only option will be to move to a Single Debate event.

The information listed below is for returning team members only.
